Kindergarten
Learning in Kindergarten is age appropriate, play-based and child centred. It includes both child and adult-led activities. The curriculum has been designed for three years of preschool before Grade I, which caters to specific goals, key concepts, skills, pedagogical processes and early learning outcomes for Preschool I, II and III. The curriculum complement the social and cultural factors (like experiences of home and community) that shape a child’s learning and development. Children are involved in their own learning through well-planned experiences that help them develop competence, emotional attachment and self-worth. The kindergarten curriculum exclusively focusses on six subject areas : i.e. Literacy, Numeracy, Creative Expression (Music, Dance, and arts), Emotional Development, Physical Development and Understanding the World.
